Homeread does not collect, sell, or share personal data. The developer does not operate a backend for this extension.

Data stored locally

Homeread stores only extension preferences in Chrome local storage on the user's device:

• whether the reader is enabled
• read post IDs
• panel position (left or right)
• panel theme (auto, light, or dark)
• panel width (regular or expanded)

This data remains on the user's device unless the browser syncs extension storage as part of the user's Chrome settings. Homeread does not transmit these values to the developer.

Network requests

Homeread runs only on x.com and twitter.com. To render the reader panel, it requests post and thread data from X/Twitter endpoints using the user's existing logged-in browser session. Homeread does not send this data to any third-party server controlled by the developer.

Page access

Homeread reads timeline DOM content and X/Twitter timeline responses only to identify posts, skip promoted posts, and render the slide-in reader. It does not read other sites.

Remote code

Homeread does not execute remote code. All scripts ship inside the extension package.
